Sounding the Drum is now available at the Riverview Public Library! I was so surprised (and, yes, excited) to see they’d put a copy here!
Getting out into the community to meet with leaders and discuss community building training opportunities! Met Bruch Fitch, Progressive Conservative Member of the Legislative Assembly for Riverview and former interim leader of the PC party, at Reads Cafe and Book Store (my Riverview office!) I LOVE talking about community building!
I did my first book signing on March 8th, 2017 in conjunction with International Women’s Day. It was fun to get out in the community and bravely talk about my book! But I was most moved by my daughter’s thoughtfulness when, though she is living and studying in Ottawa, she commemorated the occasion by arranging for some yellow tulips to be delivered to my table as the event began.
Linda Hersey at the Moncton Times and Transcript included my book, today, in her column, By the book! Here’s a picture of the column. Note the excerpt at the end.
Linda F. Fitzgerald asks, in this post: What if Success is Asking the Right Questions?
“Before making a decision if being part of a community is right for us as business women; especially Christian women in business; it’s important to know what community is. One of the best and most definitive statements I’ve read is included in a post by Lori Gosselin, author of “Sounding the Drum: Community Building in the Digital Age“, entitled “I Call It Community”. Read Linda’s article here!
Vidya Sury mentioned the book launch of Sounding the Drum on her post here.
“My friend Lori Gosselin’s much awaited book on building community is launching today. You will all agree that community is what we all yearn for, whether at work, or in our personal lives. And I think, in today’s fast-paced digital world, community is what will keep us going and happy.”
